Propylene is a hydrocarbon of the alkene’s family. It is a colorless, odorless, flammable gas with the chemical formula C3H6. The most important application of propylene is the preparation of polypropylene. Propylene with chemical formula CH3 CH = CH2 is undoubtedly one of the oldest raw materials used in the petrochemical industry and one of the earliest light olefins.
